The proof lies in this segment from Jimmy Kimmel Live in which celebrities like David Cross, Will Ferrell and Kristen Bell read aloud some of the negative commentary directed at them via the most powerful forum for celebrity mud slinging, Twitter. Tweets include one to comedian Andy Dick which reads: “Can it be my turn to punch @AndyDick until there’s bones in his stool?” This celebration of internet shaming was held in celebration of Twitter’s 6th birthday.
