I frothed the Power Rangers as a kid. I even had a Red Ranger costume and it was dope. Sometimes I pretended to be a Power Ranger in the Thunderbirds universe because that’s the kind of madman I am. Fight me.
Of course, with age comes the realisation that the whole concept was kinda lame and Nintendo was a way better use of my time. The Power Rangers had fallen off my radar ever since.
The thought of a high-budget movie adaptation made me cringe and the first trailer was fairly lacklustre. But I gotta tell ya, the latest trailer has ignited the strange child in me and I kinda dig it.
Furthermore, everyone’s favourite suburban father and meth lord, Bryan Cranston, is introduced as the big face of Zordon. If that doesn’t get you riled up, I don’t know what will.
