HOLD ON TO ALL OF YOUR COLLECTIVE BUTTS, COMIC FANS. The long wait is almost over.

DC Comics is about to unleash the ferociously violent animated adaptation of the iconic Batman: The Killing Joke graphic novel unto us all, but the studio has been keeping remarkably tight-lipped about the project thus far.

The confirmed-to-be R-rated film will make its grand debut at ComicCon in July. But before then, the studio has finally released a trailer that shows off the work of Alan Moore in all its animated glory.

In short? And this isn’t going to come as much of a surprise to anyone, but it looks fucking dark as hell.

HOOOOOOOLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYY SHIT.

There ain’t much to be said about that, suffice to say we are frothin‘.

But how’s that Joker line at the end of it? It’s true, what he says. One bad day can break anyone.

Get yr grubby mitts on the film when it hits shelves on blu-ray and DVD this coming July.
