Emerging from the goodwill towards Nine’s well received cricket telemovie Howzat! The Kerry Packer Story is this official trailer for “bromantic” Australian sports film, Save Your Legs, a broad buddy sports comedy about the members of a hapless suburban cricket team who travel to India to be terrible at playing cricket and make digestion jokes.
The film, inspired by helmer Boyd Hicklin’s doco of the same name detailing the Indian misadventures of amateur Melbourne cricket team the Abbotsford Anglers, was penned by and stars Howzat player Brendan Cowell (The Slap, Noise), Stephen Curry (The Castle, The Wog Boy), and Howzat’s Greg Chappell Damon Gameau (Balibo, Underbelly: A Tale of Two Cities).
