After the announcement that comedian and Axis Of Awesome lead singer Jordan Raskopoulos had transitioned, the musical comedy trio clearly felt it was time to address the recent changes the band has undergone.
Raskopoulos came out as transgender in February after struggling with gender dysphoria for her entire life, but felt empowered by trans women like Laura Jane Grace and Lana Wachowski.
Addressing it in the only way a comedy musical act knows how, the band wrote new song “The Elephant In The Room” specifically to quell any awkwardness and address questions fans might have about what was obviously different about the band.
The song hilariously addresses bathrooms, voice register, sexual orientation and dicks (“None of your fucking business.”), have a watch of them performing it live at Sydney‘s Giant Dwarf:
The trio really have managed to stay the most kick-ass comedy band named after a loose grouping of nations accused by George W. Bush of funding and training terrorist.
