WARFLOWER Launch

Inspired by her short film “The Dark Side of the Sunny Moon”, multi-talented artist Cara Stricker will host an exhibition later this month titled WARFLOWER – an installation of 50 hand made headpieces, necklaces and bracelets.

Taking place in the Brethren Just Below studios (where Stricker is based), the exhibition will include an installation of artwork, video screening of her frame by frame short film and live performance by Sydney five-piece Bridezilla who will preview tracks from their yet to released debut album.

The pieces themselves fuse diaphanous femininity with tribal iconography to create accessories fit for Lost Boys and Wolf Princesses. These one of a kind headpieces, necklaces and bracelets will be available for purchase on the night, but considering that Stricker’s character-driven creations have already adorned Lover’s “Love Bomb” look book and been used as custom stage wear for Bridezilla you better get in quick. Details after the jump…
