Your Boy Vinny From ‘Jersey Shore’ Schooled Donald Trump On Climate Change

While your boy Vincent ‘Vinny’ Guadagnino is best known for smushing and spray tanning-related incidents during his time on Jersey Shore, the former reality star is back in the headlines after schooling Donald Trump on some of the broad strokes of climate change.

Yesterday, in characteristic drunk uncle style, the President Tweeted that, because parts of the eastern United States are experiencing record-breaking cold weather right now, the country could use a little of “that good old global warming”:

“In the East, it could be the COLDEST New Year’s Eve on record. Perhaps we could use a little bit of that good old Global Warming that our Country, but not other countries, was going to pay TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS to protect against. Bundle up!”

It’s hardly the first time that Trump has tweeted his skepticism about climate change – at one point, he said that the concept of global warming was “created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.”

This time, though, his Tweet caught Gudagnino’s eye, and he bashed out a reply, saying:

“I think climate change is more complex than global warming will make it hotter. It has to do with disruptions of atmospheric conditions, ocean patterns, jet streams and shit like that”

His mentions quickly filled up with people who were surprised that a former Jersey Shore bro might have a more cogent take on climate change than the leader of the free world, which may have stung a little bit, as a few hours later, Guadagnino Tweeted:

“Per my last tweet about global warming and ppl saying it’s bad when someone from “jersey shore” educates the president etc. I get the joke but why does having a summer shore house automatically make u stupid? No smart ppl ever partied with friends on weekends?”

2017 is overall one of the top three hottest years on record, slightly less than 2016 and roughly on the same level as 2015. What a time to be alive.
