Well we’ve only just got over our heartbreak that musical cutie and all around good dude Vance Joy is dating Aussie actor Sophie Lowe, which we cottoned onto back in August, but now all our healing has been reversed in one (1) ARIAs speech.

Upon taking to the stage to claim his big pointy trophy for Adult Contemporary Release (what is that, I don’t know and don’t care because I am an adult and I loved the album so maybe it makes sense?) for Nation of Two, old mate Vance first gave the cutest bloody props to his sister Miranda, saying: “I didn’t expect to win this and my sister just rocked up – Miranda I love you, you look great tonight.”

Poor Miranda looked really embarrassed, as sisters often are when brothers say nice thing about them.
Then Vance thanked a bunch of other people, and chucked in a: “Mum and Dad, Miranda, Damon and my beautiful girlfriend Sophie” at the end.
Ouch, yep. There it goes.
It doesn’t seem like Sophie wasn’t actually at the awards with Vance, so really he was just yelling to a room of other people. But it’s still nice, I guess?
