Underbelly’s Vince Colosimo Pleads Guilty To Drug Charges, Avoids Jail

Underbelly and The Secret Life Of Us star Vince Colosimo has avoided jail after pleading guilty to charges stemming from an incident last year when police found him with a quantity of methamphetamine
The 50-year-old actor was pulled over last September while driving his Saab in Melbourne‘s north; police say that he appeared “extremely nervous” during the vehicle stop, and that his hands were shaking.
Per court reports, police noticed a jet lighter in the car, and upon asking him to step out of the vehicle, they observed him attempting to hide a “small green bag”, later found to contain ice, in the passenger side.
Appearing before the court on Friday, the contrite Colosimo pleaded guilty to to the relevant charges, and was handed a $1000 fine with no conviction recorded.
Speaking previously to The Daily Telegraph, Colosimo called his arrest a “wake up call’, adding “this has caused me, my family and friends grief, some people make mistakes, I did.”
The father of two, who has worked for the last few years on building sites to top up his income between acting jobs, is now on a year-long good behaviour bond.
