U.S. Networks Announce Which Shows Are Coming Back, Which Are Cancelled

The American network TV season is drawing to an end, which means it’s crunch time for a number of your favourite shows, as renewals and cancellations are officially announced, allowing you to cry and/or celebrate as you see fit.

As we previously reported, The Mindy Project has gone to meet its maker, but the major broadcast networks have thrown a lifeline to a few of our beloved sitcoms, renewing Brooklyn Nine-Nine and New Girl for a third and fifth season respectively.
Over on the cable networks, HBO have surprised precisely nobody by renewing both Girls and Game Of Thrones, and the sociopathic gang on FXX’s It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia will trundle on to an 11th and 12th season.
Broad City, Inside Amy Schumer, Archer, Bob’s Burgers, Silicon Valley, Veep and Pordlandia are all returning, so your comedy fix is not going anywhere any time soon.
The Increasingly Poor Decisions Of Todd Margaret, which ended a few years ago, is coming back for a third, six-episode season on IFC, for which we are most definitely excited.
The cancellations list holds few surprises, although sadly, Marry Me, the spiritual successor to Happy Endings, is bowing out after just one low-rated season.
Syracuse.Com assembled a comprehensive list of all the current season’s shows, which we’ve sorted into those that are cancelled, those that are returning, and those that are still to be announced.
TBH, we haven’t heard of a significant percentage of these, but we hope your favourite show made it out okay:
