Two ‘McLeod’s Daughters’ Stars Are Hinting At A Reboot & Sign Us The Fuck Up

McLeod’s Daughters‘ – the seminal Aussie classic about five women running a cattle station in South Australia – was a smash hit back in its day.

Unfortunately, somewhere around the 2007 mark, it lost its way completely, with the show making increasingly baffling leaps to explain why main characters were leaving the ranch (hint: the actors wanted nothing to do with this hurtling train wreck).
When it finally went off the air in 2008 thanks to dismally low ratings, it instantly joined the ranks of nostalgia television. You know – the sort of TV fans rewatch to get through a godawful Sunday morning hangover.
Well, if you ARE one of the diehard fans, then we’ve got news for you: it looks like ‘McLeod’s Daughters’ might be coming back, baby.

Stars Michala Banas (Kate Manfredi) and Simmone Mackinnon (Stevie Hall) posted throwback ‘McLeod’s Daughters’ pics to Instagram today, asking us to “watch this space”

Is Channel 9 bringing it back? Is Stan and/or Netflix picking it up? (Revivals are more Netflix’s thing, but Australian content is more Stan’s.) Will it be a total train wreck disaster?

Absolutely no idea. It should also be noted that those Instagrams are fan art, not official art (check the lower left hand corner). But *somethings* happening, probably. Watch this space.
