Well, the ping-pong relationship between The Bachelor and The Bachelorette is really in full swing now, huh? Your new Bachelor is confirmed as Matty Johnson.
In case you forgot in a haze of reality TV brain, Johnson slid in second in the last season of The Bachelorette when Georgia Love picked Lee Elliot He’s clearly recovered enough from his shattering heartbreak to give it another crack with a dozen new women.
He talked about his excitement in a statement released by Channel Ten. “I feel so privileged that I’ve been given the opportunity to be The Bachelor,” Johnson said. “Without question, the most exciting part is the chance to meet the girl I’m going to spend the rest of my life with.”
He says he’s looking for a “kind, intelligent, easy-going woman who shares his passion for the outdoors and the ocean.” So say we all, Matty. So say we all.
Executive producer Hilary Innes, said that Matty was a fan favourite. “Viewers loved Matty because he was charming, fun and absolutely genuine. We are delighted to welcome him back as our new Bachelor and can’t wait for Australia to join him on his quest.”
Knuckle down, folks. S’gonna be a big one.
