Contributor: Saskia Morrison-Thiagu, Steffanie Tan

It’s that time of the year again, pals! Too Hot To Handle is back for another season of horny, horny goodness. We’ve got a new (stupidly hot) cast, a new villa… but, the same rules. With days to go ’til the premiere, here’s everything you need to know about Too Hot To Handle season 2.

When is Too Hot To Handle season 2 coming out in Australia?

Netflix has finally announced Too Hot To Handle season 2 will premiere June 23 on the streaming giant!

Unlike season 1, episodes will be released in batches.

Is there a Too Hot To Handle trailer?

Yes, and it looks terrible. Cant wait to watch it.

Not the cast acting surprised when they hear the rules.

Netflix also enlisted the talents of Christine Quinn of Selling Sunset to show fans around the new Too Hot To Handle season 2 villa.

Who is in the cast?

Let us begin.

Cam Holmes

Cam is a 24-year-old model and personal trailer from Wales, UK. He describes himself as a self-confessed sexy nerd, loves Lord of the Rings, and can do a very good Gollum impression.

According to his profile, via People, he’s also engaged in some elf-based role play. The more you know.

Carly Lawrence

Hailing from Toronto, Canada, Carly is a 24-year-old model. She used to be a competitive dancer and has no interest in finding her perfect partner. She just wants to have some fun and let loose. Wait ’til she finds out what show she’s signed on for.

Chase DeMoor

Chase is a professional football player from Arizona. In his own words, the 24-year-old has a sex-drive that is 100 out of 10. Again, wait ’til he finds out what show he signed up for.

Emily Faye Miller

Our first non-24-year-old is Emily, a model based in London. The 27-year-old has absolutely no interest in commitment and considers herself the soul of the party. She also apparently always gets what she wants.

Again, wait ’til she finds – just kidding, I’ll stop now.

Kayla Jean

Kayla is a 26-year-old model and bartender from Florida. She’s happiest when she’s at the beach tanning and surfing.

Larissa Trownson

Larissa is a lawyer from Auckland, New Zealand, who bloody loves a good party. The 28-year-old calls herself the real legally blonde and loves all the attention she can get.

Marvin Anthony

Marvin is a fashion model and influencer from France who already has 240,000 followers on Instagram. As you do. The 26-year-old also played basketball at the highest level and started his own concierge business.

Melinda Berry

Melinda is a 28-year-old model from Brooklyn, New York. She’s a self-professed firecracker who isn’t afraid to go after what she wants. She’s also one of 16 siblings, so she knows how to stand out.

Nathan Webb

Originally from the UK, 27-year-old Nathan is a former stripper living in Texas. After a particularly bad breakup, Nathan isn’t keen on another relationship right now.

Peter Vigilante

And last, but not least, is the youngest of the bunch. His name is Peter and he’s a 21-year-old personal trainer from New York. According to his bio, he cops up to 200 DMs a day from his admirers. Alrighty-roo, Peter.

Where will they film Too Hot To Handle season 2?

Season 1 of Too Hot To Handle was filmed in Mexico, but season 2 of the Netflix hit has been filmed in Turks and Caicos (aka the Kardashians fave vacay spot). It’s likely producers have chosen the island because it’s open for tourism. Although, take that with a grain of salt, because the US has advised people not to travel there.

Quarantine must’ve been nice, though.

So the rumours about Sydney weren’t true?

ICYMI: a little while ago, a mysterious email popped up in people’s inboxes asking for singles to apply for a new dating show coming to Sydney. At first the rumour was that this show was Too Hot To Handle season 2. However, a Netflix spokesperson has since confirmed that the email is in no way connected to the series.

Will there be any changes in season 2?

Okay, let me just say that after Melbourne’s long-ass lockdown I would fucken smash it at Too Hot To Handle. I went months without physical contact, months – and I’d do it again for $$$, even if that meant staying far away from some absolute snack pack on a beach. I’d do it because I know I can actually do it, you know?

Maybe that’s why Too Hot To Handle hasn’t changed the main premise of the show. The prize money is still $100,000, and contestants will have every chance at winning it… as long as they don’t get handsy, kiss each other, have sex, or rub one out.

Do any of these things and the prize money drops.

However Brandon Riegg, Netflix’s VP of unscripted originals and documentary series, did tease that there’d be some twists in season 2.

“Fans won’t have to wait long to see our new contestants try (and fail) to follow Lana’s strict rules with plenty of twists and surprises along the way,” Riegg told Deadline.

The pricing system for getting horny might change as well. Never forget that a cheeky late night blowjob will cost you $6,000.

After season 1 premiered on Netflix, the show’s producers Viki Kolar and Jonno Richards chatted to The Wrap about how they came up with the pricing system.

“There were these sort of long discussions to work out what was the right amount to be a penalty when they got it, but people could still work with that,” Richards explained.

“It wasn’t like there was a bar tab up on the wall saying, ‘this is what x costs, this is what y costs.’”

Kolar continued: “We wanted to make it acceptable to break the rules so that we would have a show, but we also didn’t want to be too much about the money … We felt that $20,000 for sex was big enough, but it was those middle ground things that were a big debate. We eventually settled on $6,000 [for oral sex], but I think that was a bit cheap, as well.”

Oh, to be a fly on a wall during that very serious conversation of how much is a blowjob worth, team?

In a later interview with People, series producer Louise Peet discussed a potential change to the pricing system.

“We knew that the infractions had to be fair and uniform across the board. So a kiss was always $3,000, but maybe in another [season], if another [season] happens, then it could be another amount,” Peet said.

She added that there are “no set rules”, so anything could happen really.

“It’s not a price list, inflation could affect it. We just don’t know!”

Inflation, blowjobs, money – oh my!

Grab a bucket and a mop, because Too Hot To Handle season 2 is cumming to Netflix soon.
