Tonight’s Brutal ‘Bachie’ Elimination Was Like Watching Matty Kick A Puppy

Well folks, we are getting down to the pointy end of The Bachelor, and things are getting bloody serious. By this stage in the game it is likely that the remaining women all have some type of feelings for Matty J, so each and every person sent home is going to feel something akin to heartbreak.

Besides the person who comes in second, possibly none will be as hard to watch as in tonight’s episode, when the most enthusiastic person in! the! entire! world! Cobie was sent home without even the honour of a rose ceremony. It was like watching an episode of a new show called ‘Bachie kicks a puppy.’

Matty J did the extremely cold move of first taking Cobie on a date conceivably to give it one last try, but instead it just forces her to wear a hideous helmet right before being dumped, which she obviously does with enthusiasm.

Then he sits her down for a solemn chat, just as Bambi was sat down for a chat about his mother. Matty J starts talking in that way that people do when they are breaking things off with someone who is very nice, but that they just don’t feel anything for.

He tries to break it to her in terms she will understand, by talking about recipes.

The first date we had was so great and all the ingredients to falling in love with someone were there for me. You can have all the perfect ingredients to fall in love with somebody, and it just doesn’t happen. For me it hasn’t happened.

That is the moment that Cobie becomes Ralph Wiggum, being dumped on television, and if you look closely, you can actually pinpoint the exact moment her heart breaks in two.

The resulting sadness from Cobie was too much to handle, as it was obvious she had really not wanted things to end so soon.

Matty has finally done what life could not, make Cobie unenthused.

Cobie expanded on her feelings as she left the house crying, and reflected on what she thought went wrong.

I’m pretty shocked at the moment. I’m feeling pretty sad. Generally today was a day to see if there was something more there. For me there was because I fell really hard for Matty when I first met him. And then I know I pulled back because I was so terrified of losing him.

That plan seemingly backfired, but Cobie will live to date another day, and hopefully find someone as enthusiastic as her. Perhaps one of those sky dancers that people put outside of shops to drum up enthusiasm for their businesses.

But that wasn’t the end of the show. Oh no, those guys at Channel 10 are little tricksters, and had Osher go back in and tell the rest of the women what had happened, AND that there would still be a rose ceremony! What the.

The resulting rose ceremony eventually saw Elora sent home, and she too was overcome with emotion. Matty, you dawg.

But most people weren’t as sad about this elimination.

So it is goodbye to two more brunettes, as we are left with an ever dwindling selection of blonde women for Matty to destroy emotionally. Can’t wait to tune in next time.
