Tom Hiddleston returned to Australia earlier this week in order to continue filming ‘Thor: Ragnarok’, and flew into the Gold Coast with ***alleged*** new girlfriend Taylor Swift.
We say ‘alleged’ because, despite all the images and rumours and exes getting upset on Twitter and combining of surnames to create an adorable couple moniker (it’s ~Hiddleswift~), their relationship has been confirmed by neither Tom nor Taylor.
9 News managed to capture Hiddleston making his first comment about his relationship, and it was… erm – not great. A teeny bit of shitshow. There was an attempt, and that attempt was bad.
That’s all changed now however, after Tom decided to rectify his fkn awful statement to 9 News by giving an actual statement in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
He spoke to the entertainment media site on the phone from Australia about his Emmy nomination for ‘The Night Manager‘. After wrapping that up, he touched on his relationship – THR asked him if – as many media outlets have speculated – if his relo with Tay Tay was a publicity stunt.
‘”Well, um. How best to put this?” said Hiddleston, chuckling. “The truth is that Taylor Swift and I are together, and we’re very happy. Thanks for asking.”He even went on to clarify: “That’s the truth. It’s not a publicity stunt.”‘
Whoever gets the next interview with Hiddle-bro, pls ask him two things.
- Firstly, why did he use his girlfriend’s full name just then? That’s so weird.
- And secondly, if it wasn’t a stunt for publicity / a music video / any of the other 1000 Hiddleswift conspiracy theories that exist, then what on earth was that bloody ‘I <3 T.S.’ singlet about then? Cheers.
But w/e – it’s official, yo.
