Tom Ford Confirms Second Film In The Works

Tom Ford has confirmed that he is making another movie and even though he didn’t give away any details whatsoever there’s a pretty good chance that – like his beautiful menswear, beautiful lipstick, beautiful sunglasses and beautiful self – it’s going to at least look really great.

The former Gucci designer’s categorically stylish debut feature film A Single Man was one of the most aesthetically flawless movies from last year: a lush, at times colour-drenched outing full of impeccably costumed, beautiful people. Colin Firth was given an Academy Award nomination for his fantastic performance as George, a gay man grieving the loss of his partner.

When Ford was probed by journalists about his sophomore film effort he was evasive: “I’m not telling you anything about it.”

Apparently photographer Ryan McGinley whose modus operandi is snapping beautiful youths in the wilderness is also considering branching out into feature film. He told The Cut, “I’m gearing up towards it, I’m not there yet. I’m not a writer, but I would write something with somebody. I’ve been looking at a lot of scripts, but nothing has popped out to me. There’s been a lot of people out there who really want me to make one.”
He might need to aim for something with a tighter narrative than Entrance Romance his latest short film attempt.
