Tina Fey And Ronda Rousey Are Starring In Your New Favourite Movie

Ronda Rousey has been laying pretty low since her UFC 193 defeat by Holly Holm, but she will come out swinging (DYSWWDT?) when she hosts next week’s episode of Saturday Night Live.

In some potentially – no, scratch that, definitely – more exciting Rousey news, it has also been confirmed today that the fighter has signed on to star in an upcoming movie with none other than Tina Fey.
Per Hollywood Reporter, Universal have bought a comedy pitch called Do Nothing Bitches from 30 Rock and Sisters writer Paula Pell, with Fey and Rousey attached to star.
Universal is keeping the description of the film under wraps, but the inspiration comes from the catch-phrase coined by Rousey in the lead-up to her bout with Bethe Correia. At the time, she said:

“I have this one term for the kind of woman my mother raised me to not be, and I call it a do nothing bitch. A DNB. The kind of chick that just tries to be pretty and be taken care of by someone else. That’s why I think it’s hilarious if my body looks masculine or something like that. Listen, just because my body was developed for a purpose other than fucking millionaires doesn’t mean it’s masculine. I think it’s femininely badass as fuck because there’s not a single muscle on my body that isn’t for a purpose, because I’m not a do nothing bitch. It’s not very eloquently said but it’s to the point and maybe that’s just what I am.”
There is no word yet on when the film will start shooting.
