Timothée Chalamet Had To Tell Steve Carell That He’s Become A “Sex Icon”

Timothee Chalamet, Steve Carell

Timothée Chalamet and Steve Carell recently starred in the drama Beautiful Boy, and to be honest, the very idea of my two beautiful boyfriends together in the one film stirs up a lot of tender and complicated emotions.

During a recent appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Chalamet discussed what it’s like to be the internet’s newest crush, and to be approached and accosted on the street by thirsty fans of movies like Ladybird and Call Me By Your Name

Adorably enough, Chalamet also revealed that his co-star Steve Carell has yet to actually embrace his new-found ascendance to “sex icon” despite the fact that almost the entire internet is very clearly enamoured with him now he’s entered his silver fox phase.

“I’m always trying to tell him, he’s like an icon,” the 22-year-old actor said. “He said he visited a college campus with his kid. He was like, ‘I was surprised that people were running up to me.’ It’s like, ‘Steve, you’re like a sex icon.’” You can watch the interview below:

Timothée Chalamet will next be seen in Greta Gerwig‘s adaptation Little Women, alongside Emma WatsonSaorise Ronan, Laura DernBob OdenkirkMeryl Goddamn Streep and basically everyone else you love.

He will then probably be giving off a different kind of energy as Henry V in The King, co-starring Joel Edgerton and Robert Pattinson, and he’s rumoured to be playing a lead rule in Denis Villeneuve‘s upcoming adaptation of the sci-fi classic Dune

There’s also that Call Me By Your Name sequel in the works. What a time to be Timothée Chalamet.
