Tim Ross And Josh Lawson Impart Some Dating Advice On “Agony Uncles”

ABC wades into the treacherous world of dating, love and romance with sagely sister shows Agony Aunts (for the women) and Agony Uncles (for the men). Conceived by writer and actor Adam Zwar (Wilfred, Lowdown) the six part series explores the rigours of romance by canvassing dating tips from some of Australia’s most knowledgeable romantics, in Uncles’ case, Tim Ross, Sam Pang, Josh Lawson, Brett Tucker, Adam Elliot, Lawrence Mooney, Kick Gurry, John and Tom Elliott, Waleed Ali, Damian Walshe-Howling and more. But do they have anything useful to say? To the tape!

This particular masterclass is in response to the question who should you avoid when dating?. Scott Brennan advises against closeted married guys (especially ones with raging libidos), Tim Ross thinks it’s women with “daddy issues”, and Tom Elliott warns against “married women”. A sentiment his father shoots down for obvious reasons. “If you’ve got a wife that you’re sick of and you want to get a woman on the side,” he explains. “It’s better she’s married because then she’s not going to spill the beans.”

Pens at the ready gentlemen. We’ve got some learning to do.

Agony Uncles premieres Wednesday, 21 March at 9.30pm, ABC1.
