Tim, Eric And Zach Galifianakis Ode To Vodka

Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim debuted their surrealist television sketch series Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! in 2007 on America’s Cartoon Network and have been testing the boundaries of humour, taste and viewer discomfort ever since. With an obsessed fan-base behind them and a generous handful of celebrity endorsement-by-cameo-appearances (Jeff Goldblum, Michael Cera, David Cross and Dave Navarro to list a mere few) they had no choice but to take Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! into a recently-launched fifth season or “Season Cinco” as it is officially titled.

The first episode premiered last night and, according to series co-creator Tim Heidecker, the highlight was a surprise appearance from He-Man:

Arguably the greatest collaboration that Tim and Eric have been involved in is the film that they were commissioned to create for ABSOLUT Vodka, for which they recruited scene-stealing hirsute actor Zach Galifianakis (also known as the bearded one in The Hangover). The brief was simple: they could do anything they wanted as long as they mentioned vodka.

The result is a three-part saga of heavy hair-pieces, beach-side frolicking and tense dramatic pauses. They named it “A Vodka Movie” and, in honour of reaching the fifth season milestone for Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! we wanted to revisit this unique commissioned piece.
