A week after he told the Daily Mail that he hung up the phone on Prince Harry, Meghan Markle‘s dad Thomas Markle is back on his bullshit, and this time, he’s likened the British royal family to Scientologists because of their “cult-like” secrecy.

Speaking with UK tabloid The Sun, Markle continued to trash his new in-laws, saying “they are either like Scientologists or the Stepford family,” presumably in reference The Stepford Wives, the classic novel and later horror film about housewife robots.
He continued:
“If they hear anybody say anything they just lock the doors. They need to speak up! They are cult-like – like Scientology – because they are secretive. They close the door, pull the shades down and put their fingers in their ears so they don’t have to hear. Maybe they have a secret handshake too! You cannot ask a question of them – as they won’t answer.”
Now, I might be going out on a limb here, but there’s a fairly good chance that Thomas Markle is feeling a bit salty because, in spite of weeks and weeks of provocations and tabloid interviews, Kensington Palace has yet to make a public comment on any of his antics.
Thomas has reportedly not spoken with his daughter Meghan since the day after her wedding – which he did not attend – but has denied that he wants any kind of financial benefit from her new-found wealth and status. “I worked hard to provide for my children,” he said. “I’m their father, I don’t expect them to pay me back.”
