This year’s Oscar nominations featured various notable snubs, however, one that seemed particularly cruel was The Lego Movie, which missed out on a nod in the Best Animated Feature Film category.
Various people behind the film have given comment, however, Conan O’Brien pretty much nailed it when he aired this “response” from the film’s producers, summing up what they were almost definitely thinking:

The Lego Movie skewered capitalism so effectively that it made close to half a billion dollars worldwide, and has a Batman-related spinoff coming in 2017, as well as a direct sequel in 2018.
