These VB Slushies Are The Big Cold Beer Your Hard Earned Thirst Deserves

A few thousand years ago, contemporary food trends were things like ‘exploring which insects are edible’ and ‘discovering ways to store beef that don’t give us food poisoning’. Now that we’ve sorted most of that shit out, our food trends are based on combining crazy shit and seeing if it tastes any good.
Does making a burger with pizzas as the buns make sense? Does infusing gelato with VB make sense? We can only find out. Like the scientists from ‘Jurassic Park‘, we are truly pushing the boundaries of what we previously thought possible.
You might not have thought that combining something like beer with the icy sweetness of a slushie was even possible, but it is, and the loose units at Supersmall have gone and bloody done it, haven’t they.
As part of a celebration of both the beauty of the Aussie pub and also the powerful vision that would lead them to make such a drink, Supersmall in Melbourne is throwing a VB slushies night this Friday.
To set the perfect atmosphere for knocking back a few particularly frosty cold ones, they’ll be spinning all the classics from INXS to Daryl Braithwaite to Silverchair to Tina Arena to Yothu Yindi.
If, by your extreme standards, the VB slushie seems tame and not all that interesting, they’ll also be doing BBQ Shapes margaritas, which I honestly cannot even picture.
The action kicks off at 10 pm and tickets are $5 and come with a free slushie, you can check out more details here.
