These Moving ‘Hunger Games’ Propaganda Portraits Are Mesmerising

The meticulously well-planned meta-marketing strategists behind the Hunger Games franchise continue to invert the consumer/marketer relationship by creating content fans of the films will willingly share, just like the following: two mesmerising portraits of the ostensible victors from the last film, Catching Fire, that take the moving movie poster and artful teaser trailers from previous promos to create a hypnotic hybrid of the two.

As with all things Mockingjay, the living portraits appeared overnight on Capitol Couture with full fashion credentials (Jena Malone wears Alon Livne and Alexander Wang; Josh Hutcherson’s dressed in Unconditional and Margiela). Their one flaw: un-mutable, autoplay music.
The Hunger Games’ penultimate instalment, Mockingjay Part I, will continue its brilliant marketing streak well after the film premieres on November 21st, 2014.
