There’s A V. Good Explanation For Winona’s Fabulously Weird SAG Award Faces

David Harbour delivered an impassioned speech on behalf of the full cast of ‘Stranger Things‘, when the talented group of actors won the statues for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.

“We will repel bullies, we will shelter freaks and outcasts, those who have no hope.

We will get past the lies, we will hunt monsters and when we are lost amidst the hypocrisy and the casual violence of certain individuals and institutions, we will, as per chief Jim Hopper, punch some people in the face, when they seek to destroy the meek, and the disenfranchised, and the marginalised, and we will do it all with soul, with heart and with joy!” yelled Harbour.
But it’s been confirmed by Joe Keery, who portrays heartthrob Steve Harrington (SLASH Jean-Ralphio Saperstein’s … dad?), that Harbour had been practicing the speech for the cast the night before.

“But the one he actually said was a little different.”
So there ya go – Winona wasn’t confused by the content of the speech, nor had she had too much booze – she was just a bit surprised by Harbour‘s daring improv on an already heavily-rehearsed speech.
