There’s A $5000 Bounty To Anyone Who Heckles Donald Trump On ‘SNL’

Almost immediately after Donald Trump was announced as the host of the coming episode of Saturday Night Live, the howls of protest began, from those who feel that the long-running comedy show should not give the controversial presidential hopeful a platform.
The backlash has reached the point where protesters are camped outside NBC‘s Rockerfeller Plaza headquarters, and the near-constant press surrounding Trump’s hosting gig will all-but-guarantee amazing ratings for the show.
One protest group, however, is hoping to pull a bold stunt on air, and is offering a $US 5000 bounty to any audience member who disrupts the live taping by shouting at Trump.
A political action committee called DeportRacism.Com is behind the offer. Speaking from his home in Mexico, organiser Luke Montgomery told media:
“We’re hoping that somebody in the audience stands up and calls him a racist … If he were to call black Americans rapists, murderers and drug dealers, that would not fly. So why is it OK that he would say that about Latinos? Saturday Night Live is really disgusting for having him on.”
Yesterday, it was revealed that Trump had vetoed several sketches offered to him, worrying that they were too risqué, and would damage his political cachet and harm his current lead in the Iowa polls.
On his SNL experience, Trump said:
“They have 100 writers. I walk into the room, there are 100 – and they’re all about 17 years old, OK? They’re all young and all up in your face. But they come up with many, many skits and you pick the ones you think you like.”
Trump’s SNL, which features musical guest Sia, will air later this afternoon, Australian time. The highlights/lowlights will undoubtedly find a way into the internet soon after.
