Hold onto your wigs and keep your ballgowns Untouched, because The Veronicas have announced that they will be joining a future episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under as guest judges. Am I excited? Of course I am. I’ve been waiting for The Veronicas to appear on Drag Race since 4ever ago.
Alright, all puns aside, I’m fkn geeked for this! The powerhouse twin sisters have spilt the tea in an exclusive PEDESTRIAN.TV interview that they will be appearing in an upcoming episode of Drag Race Down Under, and I’m honestly just praying for a lip sync to ‘Untouched’. Please, gay Gods, hear my prayer.
We don’t know whether or not the girls will be joining the judging panel or just zooming in to give some friendly advice to our remaining queens, but nevertheless, I’ll take it. Aussie royalty on the big screen, I truly cannot complain.
“We’re huge fans of RuPaul’s Drag Race, it’s an incredible show. We’ve actually had quite a few friends on there,” Lisa told P.TV.
“Courtney Act is one of our best friends and she’s obviously thrived [from being on the show].”
“We have a friend on the latest season in the US called Gottmik, he’s incredible,” said Jess.
“We just love the diversity, the sharing, the costuming, the makeup, the drama, the wit. It’s such an amazing show and just a place to show off incredible talent around the world.”
“It was such a dream to be apart of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under, we’ve obviously been huge fans of the show… we had a lot of fun,” Lisa added.
The pair also told us who they reckon would win in a lipsync, to which both sisters agreed that Lisa would probably come out on top, since she’s had a lot of practice lipsyncing in the car while Jess drives the pair everywhere.
They also let us in on who their fave queens are from the show. According to the powerhouse duo, Courtney Act, Gottmik and Bianca Del Rio and they’re all-time faves. Honestly, I’d have to agree with those choices. Pretty perfect if you ask me.
The Veronicas’ massive 13-date national tour starts this week and their brand new album Godzilla is out right fkn now.
If you need me, I’m gonna go and listen to all of the tracks that could possibly be used as a lipsync when the episode finally arrives on our screens. Hook. Me. UP.
You can catch RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under every Saturday at 4pm on Stan.
