The Rebekah Brooks ‘Not Guilty’ Memes are Already Coming

Former News Of The World and The Sun editor Rebekah Brooks has just been cleared on all charges of phone hacking, after a not guilty verdict was delivered in her trial at The Old Bailey overnight.

The internet being the repository of lolz that it is, the Rebekah Brooks memes have already started arriving.

The phone hacking scandal broke in 2011, and Rupert Murdoch was forced to shut down News Of The World after staff were accused of hacking into the voicemail accounts of hundreds of celebrities, dignitaries and politicians.

It was also alleged that reporters had accessed the voicemails of murdered schoolgirl Milly Dowler in an attempt to stay ahead of the story. The accusations were so serious that they prompted an official U.K. inquiry into media ethics.
