You know those moments where the carefully crafted world you have built for yourself falls away and you’re confronted with the lingering uncertainty about your own mortality? Well, nothing quite so bad happened to the guys at ‘The Project’ last night, but they did run into huge technical difficulties.
The kind of difficulties where you don’t have any video content for your show. Not that big a deal.

Lucky they’re all such seasoned performers. To fill the time, Carrie Blackmore read out the news headlines of the day while Waleed Aly and Peter Helliar awkwardly acted them out. Also, an interview with Lauren Jackson was dragged out to seven minutes, which is vaguely torturous in a rapid-paced show like ‘The Project’.
Let’s hope the IT guys are awake next time.
