‘The Notebook’ Is Coming Back Into Your Life As A TV Series

The Notebook has come back into our life like a sudden flame; blazing and streaming into our heart. Now, you may stay up all night contemplating the certain agony you know would be yours if you were to lose this twice but CW have confirmed it’s definitely ‘in development.’

It’s not gonna be easy. It’s going to be really hard; they’re going to have to work at this everyday, but they want to do that because they want money.

At the Television Critics Association’s press tour The CW president Mark Pedowitz said: “I don’t believe we’re going to see the older couple—what they become. But things change [in development]. I’m thrilled Nick Sparks wanted to do it at The CW.”

‘This series will follow the romantic journey of the two beloved central characters Noah Calhoun and Allie Hamilton, at the outset of their blossoming relationship as they build their lives and their future together against the backdrop of the racial politics, economic inequities, and social mores of post-World War II of the late 1940s in North Carolina.’

Of course, there will be many who think the 2004 classic too perfect to ever be remade and predictions re: how shit it will be are already rolling in. Perhaps because the writer and producer Todd Graff is responsible for such classic films as ‘Bandslam‘ and ‘The Beautician and the Beast‘ starring Fran Drescher.

Having said that, obviously its quality remains to be seen and as with all things, they’re never going to please everyone.
