The Newest ‘Walking Dead’ Spin-Off Will Put Zombies On A Plane

The Walking Dead spin-off Fear The Walking Dead, set at the very beginning of the fictional zombie outbreak, drew massive, fuck-off, insanely good ratings for AMC, pulling 10.1 million same-day viewers, a record for a U.S. cable series premiere.

It would make sense for the network to milk this zombie cash cow dry capitalise on their success, and capitalise they have, announcing a stand-alone special featuring a walker attack on a goddamn plane.
While they’ve technically been beaten to the zombies-on-a-plane punch by World War Z, which featured a similar scenario, theirs comes with a twist: a new character for the series itself.
Per reports in EW, AMC have announced that at least one character will survive the airborne walker attack, and this person will then join the cast of Fear The Walking Dead season 2.
The half-hour, one-off special will reportedly debut its first part online, and will then be broadcast in chunks during the commercial breaks on The Walking Dead‘s TV broadcasts.
There’s no specific word yet on how Australians will be able to enjoy the high-flying zombie mayhem, but it’s safe to assume that your good mate the internet will be able to help out in some way.
