The New Batkid Doco Trailer Is Here to Make You Batcry

Last year, inspiring five year old leukaemia patient Miles Scott restored our faith in humanity when he teamed up with the benevolent citizens of San Francisco and the Bay Area Make A Wish Foundation to save the world by turning the streets of San Francisco into Gotham City and Miles into its diminutive caped crusader, Batkid.

Heartwarming footage of his exploits in which hordes of adoring SF residents including police officers and city officials turned up to line the streets and cheer Miles on as he foiled a bank heist, apprehended The Riddler, rode in the Batmobile and fist bumped Batman all day, quickly went viral because some men just want to watch the world ugly cry, something you might just do when watching the badass new trailer for Batkid Begins, a feature length documentary detailing the extensive amount of work, manpower and planning that went into making Miles’ big day happen.
The team behind the project seeking to take us “behind the scenes of the day Batkid saved Gotham” and ask “did Miles need the world for inspiration? Or did the world need Miles?” have also launched an Indiegogo campaign to offset the estimated $100,000 in production costs.
Here’s what you’ll be contributing to.
