‘The Mandalorian’ Reveals Four New Images And Gnarly Footage For The Fans

There is nothing a certain set of Star Wars fans hate more than Star Wars, which makes Disney‘s upcoming series The Mandalorian such an intriguing prospect: audiences are gonna be subjected to some live-action sci-fi madness whether they like it or not.

Judging by a slew of new images, jaded fanboys might actually give this one a pass. Maybe.

Taking to social media, Mickey Mouse & Co. shared some shots of a masked Pedro Pascal as the titular Mandalorian, along with Gina Carano as Cara Dune and Carl Weathers as Greef Carga.

According to io9, who were present at Chicago’s Star Wars Celebration Sunday, Disney bigwigs described The Mandalorian as a lone-wolf bounty hunter in the vein of Boba and Jango Fett. You may have been able to infer that from the helmet alone.

Cara Dune is a grizzled Rebel shock trooper acclimatising to life after the events of Return Of The Jedi, while Greef Carga is the don of a bounty hunting group.

A trailer for the project was also screened. While it hasn’t yet been released online, the footage reportedly showcases the desolate outer worlds where the story takes place, along with a few of the directors who will helm some episodes: Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Bryce Dallas Howard (yes!) and a fella named Taika Waititi.

The Mandalorian arrives on November 12. If you simply must learn more about the show – so you can hype yourself up for it, or build some weird resentment – peep the full panel discussion below.
