There is one (1) reason why I agreed to do the Saturday shift here at P.TV while our dear weekend editor, Lavender, is living her best life in Japan. It’s so I can write about Baby Yoda and Baby Yoda alone. Nobody can stop me!!! Like many, I have fallen deeply in love with “the kid”, as Mando (Pedro Pascal) calls him, and it has taken over my life.

In episode 4 of The Mandalorian, we finally meet Gina Carano‘s elite character Cara Dune, an ex-rebel shock trooper, who teams up with Mando to save a village from raiders. That’s the very skeletal gist of The Sanctuary, but it genuinely was another stellar episode. We also learn why Mando never takes off his helmet in front of other people and we can thank a woman named Omera (Julia Jones) for that, who Mando very briefly considers taking his helmet off for.
Skeletal gist aside, it’s time to talk about Baby Yoda again because episode 4 really was 40 minutes of ~ the child ~ being a cute little shit, and I mean that in the most affectionate way possible. From it standing in its teeny tiny crib to it sipping on some bone broth, Baby Yoda has once again proven why it’s the breakout star of the series.
