The Makers Of ‘Fast & Furious’ Want Charlize Theron As Their Next Villain

The Fast & Furious franchise has not come anywhere close to running out of gas just yet – earlier this month, Vin Diesel shared a post indicating that the saga will expand to at least 10 films.
By his reckoning, we’ll be getting Fast 8 in April of 2017, with a new movie to follow every two years after that.
This week, there have been reports that director F. Gary Gray and scriptwriter Chris Morgan are working on a new story that includes a “fierce female villain”, and current speculation is that the movie has Charlize Theron in its sights.
Theron proved her action movie chops and gave us several lifetimes’ worth of life goals as Furiosa in last year’s Mad Max: Fury Road, and we’d definitely be down to see her in another hard-driving role.
She and Gray have worked together before, on his remake of The Italian Job, although Universal have refused to comment on the current rumours, and she has yet to see a completed script.
Stars Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris are all expected to return for the film, which starts production in the northern Spring.
We’re crossing every available appendage in hopes that this works out.
