PACK YOUR LUNCH: The First ‘Magic School Bus’ Reboot Trailer Is Here

The Magic School Bus was the pinnacle of educational cartoons back in the day. There were a number of games as well, including one set in space and another in the human body. I spent countless hours exploring the guts of that Arnold kid in a shrunken school bus driven by an eccentric red-haired teacher and it was the fucking coolest.

Netflix has given us our first look at the rebooted series, The Magic School Bus Rides Again, via a trailer and folks, it reeks of nostalgia.

Right off the bat you can see that things are gonna be a little different this time around. For starters, Ms. Frizzle is handing over the keys to her sister, Ms. Fiona Felicity Frizzle, voiced by Kate McKinnon.

The OG Frizzle makes an appearance as Professor Frizzle (nice) and is voiced by Grace and Frankie‘s Lily Tomlin, who also voiced her back in 1994. Check out the red hot trailer below.

If you didn’t get shivers when the theme song kicked in – especially at the “baked into a pie” bit – you probably don’t have a soul. While we’re on the topic, the revamped tune was sung by Hamilton star Lin-Manuel Miranda, who could not have been more stoked on it.

The series launches on September 22, so pack your lunch and get on the fucking bus, we’re going to suss out a nuclear plant or some shit.
