Here’s the rule: for every three films starring Timothée Chalamet, the dude gets one turn as a brutal warrior king. A new teaser for the aptly titled The King shows Chalamet cashing in.
Chalamet and his bowl cut star as young King Henry V, the unexpected monarch who led England to stunning military successes in the 15th century. They keyword here is unexpected, and the trailer shows the fella struggling to build an advisory council he can actually trust.
The flick also stars Lily-Rose Depp as strategic love interest Catherine of Valois, a decidedly gaunt Robert Pattinson, and Aussie Joel Edgerton, who also co-wrote the flick with director David Michôd (with an assist from William Shakespeare himself).
