The Kid From ‘Jerry Maguire’ Says He Was Bullied “Relentlessly” Post-Movie

Jonathan Lipnicki, who you probably remember best as either the kid from Jerry Maguire or the little nerdy-looking child in a bunch of other 90’s movies, has opened up in an Instagram post about being severely bullied throughout his childhood.

After appearing in films like Stuart Little and Like Mike, Lipnicki says he suffered anxiety due to the bullying he endured in high school from other kids.

“As a kid/teen, I was made fun of relentlessly by some people who are now even my friends on FB [Facebook],” he said in the Instagram post. “I was told I was a has-been and would never book a job again. I was made to feel like garbage every day of middle school to the point where I had a panic attack every night before school, because I wondered how I would get through the next day.”

In the past, Lipnicki has spoken out about his treatment for depression and anxiety. He claimed that he developed eczema on his palms from rubbing them together due to stress.
He says he’s now done more movies as an adult than as a child, which he’s super proud of. “I didn’t expect to feel like this, but I do,” he said on Instagram. “Sure they aren’t studio films or wide releases, but they are in theatres! I am chasing my dreams and couldn’t be happier.”
