The next three out of four Pixar animated features hitting cinemas will be sequels—and the first won’t even land until 2017—as Disney has announced its upcoming roster of releases under Pixar and Disney overnight.
While we’ve had news of The Incredibles 2 being officially ~a thing~ for a while now, the studio have decided that—for what’s quite possibly the most highly-anticipated follow up in recent memory—FIFTEEN FUCKING YEARS between films is an adequate wait time, slating the sequel for a release on June 21, 2019.
Adding insult to injury, the release of Toy Story 4 has been pushed back – now dropping in June 2018. The consolation prize of the third sequel nobody asked for, Cars 3, coming right on time in 2017 is, tbqh, a damn outrage.
