The first Magic Mike had one of the more brazen gaps between marketing and movie we’ve ever seen – the promos promised non-stop toned abs and butts, but the movie itself delivered down-beat drama, with a side of abs, butts and Channing Tatum grinding to ‘Pony’.
In the lead-up to Magic Mike XXL, the good people at Screen Junkies have served up this timely Honest Trailer, as a reminder that Steven Soderbergh‘s original movie didn’t shy away from depicting the mundane details of strippers’ daily lives.
Magic Mike was still a pretty kickarse movie, and possibly even more entertaining was watching a throng of frustrated horndogs walk out, realising they wanted more peen than it could provide to them.
