FEEL THE RAIN ON YOUR FUCKING SKIN, MATES – The Hills is looking like it’s making a comeback, at least if what iconic bro from the OG run of the ’00s reality TV masterpiece, Justin Bobby says is legit.
The man himself had a chat to PEDESTRIAN.TV today and let slip that he won’t, in fact, be hanging around Down Under when he heads here for his band’s tour, but instead is flying straight back to LA to… PROBABLY FILM THE HILLS.
“I can’t [stay in Australia after the tour] because the show I’ve done before, called The Hills, might be starting up again so I might have to come back and start filming,” he told us this morning.
“I really can’t [say more] until next week but there’s speculation of The Hills starting again, so…”
When we pressed for more info on who would be returning *if* the show is coming back, he said “I think they’re keeping the good ones and leaving out the bad.”
“There’s a couple of chicks in there I don’t really care for and they’re not doing it, which is kinda cool I think. At this point I can’t really elaborate. The reason I may not be able to stay and hang out in Byron as long as I’d like is because I may have to come back and work.”
If you’ve been following the movements of the original cast, you’ll know that Justin Bobby’s on/off love interest Audrina Partridge recently-ish split from her husband Corey Bohan… and has since been linked to her other Hills love interest, Ryan Cabrera. Will Audrina return to the show as well to try again with JB? WILL RYAN!? God, I’m getting too excited.
Some names we highly doubt will return – Lauren Conrad, who is very much leading a low-key life with her husband, William Tell and their lil’ beb Liam. Whitney Port‘s also doing the family thing with husband Tim Rosenman and son Sonny. Kristin Cavallari just signed with E! for her own reality series, so it’s unlikely she’ll be allowed to jump ship, even for a cameo.
We DO reckon the following might be making an appearance – Lo Bosworth, who recently announced on her podcast that she’s moved back to California to be close to her fam. Stephanie Pratt, who has been on every bloody reality TV show in existence since The Hills wrapped. Brody Jenner, bc OBVIOUSLY.
And if Spencer and Heidi Pratt don’t take whatever money gets thrown at them to appear, then the world is officially upside down you guys.
No word on what this maybe-reboot will look like – whether it’s a full season or just a reunion episode – but fuck me are we excited. As Justin said – people still give a shit about what all these guys and gals are up to.
“They’ve had such a big fanbase for such a long time and people are still screaming for more. Even me – I get hit up and they wanna know what’s going on with my life, so I can only imagine. Most of those girls on the show, I think girls needed closure across the globe, you know, it kind of ended abruptly, so I think it’s like a recap of what’s gonna be. People needed closure. They need, what do the look like? How are they now? How’d this path take them?”
