The ‘Han Solo’ Movie Has Copped A Title So Basic You’ve Already Guessed It

Hell yeah, here it is! The moment you’ve all been waiting for! The big reveal of the official title for the standalone Han Solo origin film has finally happened and it is… well, look. It’s a pretty obvious title. Sometimes the simplest solution is the correct one, y’know?

Filming has apparently wrapped on the at-times troubled production, with Ron Howard‘s extensive re-shoots coming to a close after he took over directing duties from the previously-hired Phil Lord and Chris Miller.

To mark production wrapping, Howard took to Twitter – as he has done so often throughout filming – to announce that the flick was officially in the can, and to reveal the full title of the upcoming film.

You’re gonna wanna brace yourself for this.

The title of the film is…

Solo: A Star Wars Story.

The video features Howard celebrating the end of shooting before a pair of Wookie arms passes him a placard, revealing the title of the film in the unmistakable Star Wars font.

The bog-standard title has already become ample fodder for internet jokesters, many of whom took aim at the title’s very simplistic nature, or its frat party-connotations.

‘Course it’s absolutely worth noting with that last one that the production itself has been using the code name Red Cup for virtually its entire production-life thus far, meaning that, once again, Han shot first.

And while that’s all well and good for the rest of the world, what about us Australians? What about a Star Wars joke for us here in ‘Straya?

Now we’re talkin’. The new Solo movie: Low on fizz, so you can slam it down fast.

Han *does* have a pretty big mouth, after all.

Solo: A Star Wars Story  sports a stellar cast featuring the likes of Alden Ehrenreich as a young Han, Donald Glover as a young Lando Calrissian, alongside Emilia ClarkeWoody HarrelsonPaul Bettany, and Thandie Newton.

It’s due for release on May 25, 2018.
