Plot details for upcoming prestige TV series are locked down tighter than the nuclear launch codes these days, so it’s surprising when one of the biggest shows on the planet springs a leak.
The Game of Thrones fanworld is currently in the midst of some kind of enormous meltdown over a deeply detailed Reddit spoiler leak for season 7, according to The Sun.
Whether or not it’s actually real – the account in question has been deleted – the spoilers are being passed around like porn mags by horny schoolboys. I want to stress that Game of Thrones is basically a porn mag, and its fans are essentially horny schoolboys.
The leaks were posted by redditor ‘awayforthelads’, who chucked it on r/freefolk, a subreddit where users can share spoilers without having to mark them, like in every other damn subreddit.
Many fans are trying to work out whether or not it’s actually real – with many complaining that it seems like too much wish fulfilment and shitty writing for it to actually be the next season of the show. Others who are more deeply involved in the mythos say that they’re *Twilight Zone voice* not really spoilers at all.

There are also conspiracy theories that suggest these leaks are deliberately orchestrated by HBO to throw fans off the scent and lead them towards something totally different. An article described as ‘damage control’ by some fans in Entertainment Weekly urged fans not to believe everything they read on rumour sites.
“Going into season 7, a big question is who will meet whom now that all the main characters are arriving in Westeros,” EW’s James Hibberd wrote. “So having actors dressed up meeting each other on set could mean they’re in scenes together … or it might not.”
Yeah righto.
