The ‘Celebrity’ Boxing Match Between DMX And George Zimmerman Cancelled

The promoter of the boxing match between DMX and George Zimmerman has announced that he will cancel the fight.

The fight was scheduled to take place on March 15th. While thousands of people would have eagerly watched Zimmerman have “the living fuck” beaten out of him by DMX, it did raise some questions about who exactly the fight is serving.

In a bizarre twist that could only really happen in America, Zimmerman has become somewhat of a celebrity for the shooting death of Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman was acquitted of the crime due to Florida’s controversial ‘Stand Your Ground’ laws. Since then he has been thrown into the media spotlight for all the wrong reasons.

The ‘celebrity boxing promoter’ Damon Feldman took to twitter to cancel the event.

“More to life then [sic] money. It was worth a lot of money to me, but people’s feelings meant more to me. I walked away from a million dollar payday with this fight to be honest. I’d rather be happy and make people happy. Thank you.”

According to Rolling Stone, DMX’s publicist stated that DMX never agreed to the fight. Though DMX was quoted saying “Once I am done with him, I am going to whip my dick out and piss on him … right in his muthafuckin face.”

So, it turns out X ain’t gon’ give it to him. Which is probably a win for society, as we don’t need to shine a ‘celebrity’ spotlight on someone responsible for shooting another human being dead.
