Few know this, but Christmas has traditionally been observed to commemorate the arrival of the Christian Messiah on Earth. Now, Netflix has heralded the appearance of a different demigod, and she’s set to rock up at the tail-end of the festive season.

We are talking about Taylor Swift, obviously, whose Reputation Stadium Tour concert movie is coming to the streaming platform on New Year’s Eve.
In a frankly overwhelming trailer for the film, Swift can be seen commanding her army of dancers as pyrotechnics light up the night sky. There’s a flying platform seemingly made of fairy lights. There’s a squadron of taiko drummers. There are, of course, at least four thousand outfit changes – and at least as many shots of fans having their own miniature religious experiences.
You’ll be able to have your own holy encounter soon, folks. Lord knows some Swifties are getting ready for it:
my new year’s resolution for 2019 is to not get arrested for scream-singing to taylor swift’s reputation tour drop on netflix in 2018
