Take A Squiz At These Y’Huge Vanity Fair Star Wars Covers

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, Vanity Fair have revealed the covers of their American summer edition: a series of four Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi shots by the revered Annie Leibovitz

Leibovitz first shot the Star Wars cast in 1999 for The Phantom Menace, taking some pretty noice pics of young Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, and Liam Neeson.
She returns this year to capture Carrie Fisher – in her final magazine cover following her passing in December last year – Daisy Ridley, Mark Hamill, Gwendoline Christie, Domhnall GleesonAdam DriverOscar IsaacJohn Boyega, and Kelly Marie Tran.
This week the US celebrates the 40th anniversary of A New Hope, which came out on May 25 1977, before its Aussie release on October 27 1977.
Take a gander and get turnt for when The Last Jedi sells out cinemas on December 14 this year. Apparently if you’ve got a keen eye you might be able to find some hints about what’s in store.
But hey, if you’re feeling lazy and want immediate, very cavalier first thoughts, let us react for you:

This is the one with the two people who may or may not be The Last Jedi of the title, if director Rian Johnson hadn’t already admitted it’s Luke. Hamill and Ridley are looking at different things in the middle distance, which makes us concerned about what could be over there.

The best cover is always the bad guy cover, and Driver looks dashing and it’ll be nice to see him do more things because without Girls we need another way to get our Adam fix.

Englishman Boyega is kicking off his careers and his controversial character in a big way and we’re here. For. This.

QUEEN. QUEEN. QUEEN.
