Sydney’s Grounds Of Alexandria Is Letting It Go & Turning Into A ‘Frozen’ Wonderland

Sydney’s most Instagrammable block, the Grounds of Alexandria, is getting a frosty makeover just in time for Christmas, with two of the deeply photogenic alleyways transforming into a wonderland inspired by the upcoming Frozen 2.

Parts of the Grounds have been turned into an Enchanted Forest, filled with glowing autumnal trees and a few familiar faces that might ask if you wanna build a snowman later. Then you turn the corner and almost like magic, you’re in the Crystal Lane, twinkling with glistening ice trees and a whimsical blue glow that makes you almost forget it’s about 40º outside.

Play your cards extremely right and you might find yourself exploring the Grounds’ twists and turns with a bunch of very excited pint-sized Elsas, or maybe some very good dogs in tiny costumes.

The new Frozen laneways nestle in with the Grounds’ winter wonderland, where you can let it snow four times a day and wish you were having a real white Christmas.

Alongside all the chances to get the perfect new profile photo for whatever you might need to look whimsical for, you can nip over to one of the Grounds’ cafes, The Cafe, The Potting Shed, and The Garden, for a sneaky Frozen-inspired treat.

On the menu there’s treats like Olaf’s Delight tart, a cheeky little snack for two (or just you if you want, I’m not here to judge), and the Coldfront; a coconut and lemon gelato smoothie topped with vanilla ice cream snowballs and edible glitter.

The wintery wonderland is only around until January 29, so go chill out before it melts away forever.
