We made a solemn promise last week and it is with great sadness that I must now announce that it is time to follow through:

You can see that particular update right HERE.
As much as we didn’t think it was possible, fan favourite Luke Toki was voted out at the tribal council in the second last episode of the season, and people are having all sorts of feelings about it:
Me showing up to work tomorrow to do nothing but cry and talk about Luke’s elimination for 8 hours #SurvivorAu pic.twitter.com/lFf4qX7GYs

From the outset, Luke had been clear that the $500,000 would go towards helping improve the lives of his family, especially his young daughter who had been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. Clearly pretty gutted that he would no longer be getting the Survivor money, fans have so far managed to raise over $100,000 overnight — and the total is climbing every minute.
According to the creator of the GoFundMe, they have been in contact with Luke’s wife Mary, with all funds going towards the family.
Now if you’ll excuse us, we’ll be over here, weeping softly.
