Jared Padalecki shared an emotional video with co-stars Ackles and Misha Collins, in which they revealed that they just told the crew about the show coming to an end.
“We’ve cried some tears and we’ll cry some more,” Padalecki said.
Ackles also shared some words from Supernatural creator Eric Kripke, who said: “In a show about family, it is amazing, and it is the pride of his life, that it became family. So thank you guys for that.”

The executive producers of Supernatural also issued a statement, saying:
“Firstly, we would like to thank all the people who have been involved with the show both in front of and behind the camera. For us, it has been an experience of a lifetime. The support we have had from both Warner Bros Television and The CW has been incredible. We’d like to give special thanks to Jensen [Ackles], Jared [Padalecki] and Misha [Collins] for making this journey so special. It is now most important to us to give these characters that we love the send off they deserve.”
The show is currently in its 14th season, which will wrap up next month, and we’ll find out what fate has in store for the Winchester brothers when season 15 concludes in 2020.
