Struggle To ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ For S9’s Guest Cast Ft. Bryan Cranston

Frankly my enthusiasm cannot be curbed for the return of everyone’s v. inappropriate Civil war aficionado father, Larry David, in ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm‘ season nine.

Sure, it got to the point over the last few seasons where there was less nodding along thinking ‘Larry’s right about the stop and chat’, and more just cringing at his sometimes-unpleasant behaviour. But we are rejuvenated after a six-year break. We are ready both to sigh in disbelief, and to agree again.

It certainly helps that there’s this bevy of guest stars coming to have probably a number of genuinely uncomfortable moments with Larry.

Season nine boasts guest spots from the likes of – deep breath – Bryan Cranston, Jimmy Kimmel, Carrie Browstein, Elizabeth Banks, Judge Judy and Nick Offerman.

That’s on top of the return not only of ‘Curb‘ mainstays Jeff Garlin, Cheryl Hines and J.B. Smoove, but regulars Lauren Graham, Richard Lewis, Elizabeth Perkins, Mary Steenbergen and more.

The list of stars was revealed at the Television Critics Association‘s summer press tour. David was asked on the day why he decided to return to our screens as the “bald man with glasses“:

“I’m not a misser. I don’t really miss things, people that much, but I was missing it and i was missing these idiots so I thought, ‘Yeah, what the hell? And I got tired of people asking is the show coming back? I couldn’t get asked that question anymore and I wasn’t ready to say no, never.”
